It is not completely planned and we have not booked the nights we plan to spend in a hotel, so there is some flex in the plan. But it will probably go something like this:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ourwanderyears.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/TS_11-plan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"713\" height=\"687\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ourwanderyears.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/TS_11-plan.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14978\" style=\"width:356px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ourwanderyears.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/TS_11-plan.jpg 713w, https:\/\/www.ourwanderyears.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/TS_11-plan-300x289.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 713px) 100vw, 713px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">TS_11 plan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>One night in a hotel in Front Royal VA.<\/strong> We have been invited to spend the weekend with Jett&#8217;s sons and their families at Devin&#8217;s VRBO farmhouse in Luray VA, but the current tenants don&#8217;t leave until noon on Saturday. So we will get close on Friday and travel a short distance Saturday, to get a full day with them. This will be a LONG hop &#8211; about 9 hours and over 500 miles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two nights at the farmhouse in Luray VA.<\/strong> I have seen photos and it looks wonderful. I am looking forward to seeing this property. And family, too. This will be a short hop, probably mostly on Skyline Drive in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/shen\/index.htm\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/shen\/index.htm\">Shenandoah National Park<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Three nights with Marlene&#8217;s son and wife in Acworth GA.<\/strong> Another long hop.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two nights in or near Pensacola FL. <\/strong>The purpose of this visit is to experience the legendary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/shen\/index.htm\">Flora-Bama<\/a> beach bar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Home. <\/strong>Another very long hop.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This plan has us traveling just over 2,000 miles in 5 (mostly very long) hops.
