{"id":252,"date":"2012-01-07T10:42:08","date_gmt":"2012-01-07T15:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ourwanderyears.com\/blog\/?p=252"},"modified":"2012-01-07T10:43:16","modified_gmt":"2012-01-07T15:43:16","slug":"my-traditional-january-cough-has-arrived","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ourwanderyears.com\/blog\/2012\/01\/07\/my-traditional-january-cough-has-arrived\/","title":{"rendered":"My traditional January cough has arrived"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the many reasons that I want to leave cold winters behind is my January cough.\u00a0 It appears, without fail, every January and usually lasts most of the month.\u00a0 Sometimes it is accompanied by the other symptoms of the common cold (runny nose, chest congestion) or flu (aches, fever).\u00a0 But sometimes, like this year&#8217;s vintage, it is just a cough.\u00a0 A dry, persistent, racking cough.\u00a0 It is more annoying than a real medical concern, but I wouldn&#8217;t miss it at all if it stayed in Massachusetts while I was in California next year.\u00a0 Hell, I would even send it a postcard.
